Prologue: Back to life

Lolita had been content with nightly visits to the Goth household, after that horrid accident switching a lightbulb in the attic.

But one night, much to her surprise, she smelled the most wonderful thing that had passed her nose since that fateful day.  She floated into the kitchen to see an aged Mortimer puttering about the kitchen, a plate of... something... sitting on the table behind him...

she drifted over, made sure he was not watching (why would he?  He was used to the ghosts from the family graveyard wandering around each night!) and sat down to eat.

Moments after finishing the meal she realized something strange was happening!

Vitality flowed thru her veins, and suddenly, she was breathing again!

After getting over the shock of an ancestor suddenly being, well, a permanent guest in the Manor, Mortimer 'politely' offered to give Lolita a small sum of money to get the heck out of his house..

He had a family and well the truth was there just was not room for her living there... nightly visits were one thing, but another mouth to feed... a bit too much.

So she packed her bags and went off to the city... having died so young she had not seen much of life.
Bridgeport seemed exciting!  She decorated her tiny apartment with the antiques that Mortimer had given
her,

hung a few pictures up on the walls and settled down with her notebook...

she had always dreamed of being an author, and what better to write about than her new experiences in a new town!

I hope you enjoyed this little prologue, another update of her first day in town will be added soon!
